Nations Ministries
Our mission continues to be “trusting God to turn lost students into Christ-centered laborers!”
Yet, I want to inform you of some recent changes in my role with Campus Crusade for Christ:
About five years ago I began pioneering campuses in Montana to plant movements of the gospel among students! On this journey I soon realized that there were many Native American students in my own backyard throughout Montana and also around the US. This student community was invisible to me and sadly unaffected by campus ministry! Through the process of engaging this unknown and unfamiliar world resulted in God grabbing my heart for these often marginalized, oppressed, and yet wonderful people!
In light of this, I was asked to work on CCC’s national leadership team ESM (Ethnic Student Ministries) as a representative for Nations. Nations is the ministry that we have been laying the groundwork for over the last few years and now will get our full attention. I am excited about this daunting yet privileged task to give focus and direction to bringing Jesus closer to the 170,000 Native American students in the US. My dream is that their broken lives and communities will one day reflect the glory of God through their uniqueness and beauty and that the First Nations people scattered throughout world will be blessed as God uses these students for His Kingdom.
We will remain in Bozeman working with the local Nations ministry in Montana while giving leadership nationally. Your prayers and giving are so appreciated as we now focus our time and gifts toward this vision:
Nations seeks to embrace and honor First Nations people while recognizing that there is one true Creator who desires to restore what has been lost by placing his Son Jesus Christ at the center of Native American life and culture.
