The Hobbit Hole
We have a camper!! She’s an older, fix-‘er-upper Scamp, and Bruce has been renovating, re-plumbing, rewiring, caulking, replacing, painting. We hope to have her ready to roll by the end of June. The vote is in and we’ve christened her “The Hobbit Hole.”
We were still in the process of closing the deal at a mall parking lot when a man came up to us and asked if he could look inside. Moments later, when we left the UPS store where we’d gone to get the transaction notarized, three employees came out to watch us pull away. We stopped at one end of the lot to get out to check on something and a lady pulled up and rolled down the window: “That is soooo cute!” Then, eyeing it again she added, “I sure hope you two like each other.” We do. When our grandkids saw it, the observation was made that their playhouse was bigger than ours!
Thank you so much to all of you who prayed with us, scouted for us, and encouraged us. This tiny marshmallow will be our “Hobbit Hole” for the summer and we are grateful for God’s provision. It will be our B&B on the road. Though it may not have all the features we’d hoped for, it’s a place to rest our heads and stay overnight. God is so good!! We hope you’ll journey with us throughout the summer.
